At Chiptok, we aim to be transparent about the personal data that we collect and process. While the amount of personal data required to initially access the Services is fairly minimal, in order to access the full capabilities of the Services, we collect and process additional personal data that you may provide to us or give us access to. The following is a description of the personal data that we may collect and process in connection with the Services we provide to you.
When you first register an Account:
We collect certain information about you when you first sign up with the Service. This information is required to access the Service and includes:
the User ID associated with your Account, your first and last name, your age, your email address, and your password.
Information and content:
Except for the information necessary to sign up for an Account, all other information provided to Chiptok is optional. For certain features on the Services, we may request additional information from you in order to provide these additional features. Personal and anonymous information that you may provide to Chiptok can include:
SMS log history.
any information that you provide in the biography section of your profile, including any sound recordings attached to your profile.
comments, chat messages, edits to any comments or messages, pictures, videos (including any reaction videos to other people’s posts), augmented reality animated images or videos, and other digital media that you may upload to the Service.
any metadata associated with the content that you upload, including but not limited to, location information or the date that a particular file was created.
Chiptok does not specifically gather or process personal information associated with political views, religious views, philosophical beliefs, or health information, but you may share these types of information on our Service.

network information such as ISP operator name, language settings, time zone, phone number, IP address, connection speed, and nearby device information.
We also collect anonymous data from you, which does not identify you unless associated with personal data, including but not limited to responses to anonymous surveys, metrics and other types of statistical data, which could be derived from use of the Service, and diagnostic data concerning the Service.
We process your personal and anonymous data primarily for our business purposes, such as providing the Service, to understand your needs and the needs of our users, and to provide you with better service and information.

You may contact Chiptok to obtain a copy of any personal data we have collected about you, the production of which may be subject to a fee as permitted by applicable law. In addition, you may contact Chiptok to correct inaccurate personal data or to complete incomplete personal data.
You may be able to opt-out of some or all of the ways in which your personal data is processed, or request the deletion of certain personal data, except where the personal data is necessary or vital:

While Chiptok is a Canadian company, with servers located entirely within the United States, the data you provide through the Service is stored and processed by third parties in countries around the world. You authorize Chiptok and third parties acting on Chiptok’s behalf to process your data in any country of their choosing, which may cause your data, including personal and anonymous data, to be subject to privacy protections and legal rights that may not be equivalent to those in your country.
Your personal data is retained until you request its deletion or until Chiptok no longer requires such data for the purpose for which it was collected.
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a web browser setting that requests that a web application disable its tracking of you. When you choose to turn on the DNT setting in your browser or device, your browser or device sends a special signal to websites, analytics companies, advertising networks, plug in providers and other web services you encounter to stop tracking your activity. Currently, there is no DNT technology standard and, as a result, we do not respond to DNT signals.
If you are a California resident, California Civil Code 1798.83 grants you the right to request Chiptok’s disclosure of the categories of personal information we provided to third parties, and the names and addresses of these third parties, for direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make this request, please contact us using the contact information set forth in section 14.

If you would like to change the email preferences we associate with you (for example, unsubscribing from receiving certain types of email) you may do so by clicking a link within certain types of emails that we send to you or, if no link is available, by replying with “unsubscribe” in the email title or body or by modifying your email settings within the Service. Some types of email are necessary for the Service and cannot be unsubscribed from if you continue to use the Service.
